SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — The Illinois Department of Public Health on Wednesday reported 1,337 new confirmed cases of the coronavirus, including 30 additional deaths.
One of those deaths was the death in Peoria County of a man in his 90s. It wasn’t immediately clear as to whether the man was a resident of Peoria County.
1,580 people in Illinois as of Tuesday night were hospitalized with COVID-19.
357 were in ICU beds. 133 patients were on ventilators.
The state’s rolling seven-day positivity rate was at 3.7%, as 48,029 specimens were taken between Tuesday and Wednesday at labs across the state.
