PEORIA, Ill. — A suspect in the Saturday evening shooting of 21-year-old Terrence Dunigan has been arrested.
19-year-old Talya T. Zolicoffer, Jr. was identified as a suspect by detectives assigned to the Criminal Investigations Division.
At approximately 6:56 p.m. Tuesday, Zolicoffer was taken into custody by members of the Target Offender Unit during a traffic stop in the 2700 block of West Farmington Rd.
Zolicoffer was taken into custody without incident and was transported to the Peoria Police Department Criminal Investigation Division for interview purposes.
Zolicoffer was subsequently arrested for Aggravated Robbery and First Degree Murder and transported to the Peoria County Jail.
An investigation is ongoing.
