PEORIA, Ill. — Peoria firefighters responded to a structure fire Friday morning at 825 W. Brons Ave.
Upon arrival at 10:19 a.m., heavy smoke was showing. Forced entry to the building by fire crews found a working fire in the attic of the home, said Batallion Chief Tyson Pokarney.
Additional companies were on scene to provide a back-up hose line for safety, search the home, and secure gas/electrical utilities.
No one was found inside the home, and the fire was controlled within 10 minutes, according to Pokarney.
The Peoria Fire Invesigator determined the cause of the fire to be electrical in nature and unintentional.
No injuries to civilians or firefighters were reported.
