PEORIA, Ill. — Pop-A-Shot, maker of a popular arcade basketball game, officially moved its headquarters from Kansas to Peoria earlier this week.
Also this week, the company was ranked #307 on Inc. Magazine’s “Inc. 5000”, a list of the nation’s fastest-growing private businesses.
Pop-A-Shot CEO Tony Stacker said when he bought the company four years ago, he had no idea how much growth they’d see in such a short amount of time.
“They were only selling about 300 games per year, a little bit higher-grade or higher-cost games, we’re still selling those, but we’ve added more product. This year, we’ll probably sell about 50,000 games,” Stacker said.
After some COVID-related delays, Pop-A-Shot this week welcomed five new employees to the Warehouse District. Stacker said more hires are expected before the end of 2020.
“I feel like we’re finally getting up to speed here in Peoria,” Stacker said.
