PEORIA, Ill. — Peoria Police were patrolling just before 1:30 a.m. Wednesday in the 1000 block of S. Western Avenue and observed two males shooting at another male.
Peoria Public Information Officer Amy Dotson said an officer followed the suspects on foot into an alley, where they got into a vehicle and fled the scene.
An adult male victim suffered gunshot wounds to his arm and leg. His injuries were described as non-life-threatening.
Dotson said a K-9 track of the area located a stolen handgun nearby.
The incident remains under investigation.
