SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — Illinois Department of Public Health announced 1,953 additional cases of COVID-19 between Wednesday and Thursday, as well as 21 deaths.
Labs statewide took in 41,686 specimens over that time, as the statewide seven-day rolling positivity rate ticked back up to an even 4%.
1,517 people throughout the state were in hospitals because of COVID-related symptoms.
346 cases were in intensive care, while 132 were requiring ventilators.
