PEORIA, Ill. — Peoria Police responded to a ShotSpotter alert just before 1 a.m. Saturday in the 700 block of MacQueen.
Peoria Public Information Officer Amy Dotson said the suspect fled on foot.
“A victim arrived a short while later via private vehicle to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries from a gunshot wound to the ankle,” Dotson said.
A juvenile male was arrested for aggravated battery with a firearm and taken to the Peoria County Juvenile Detention Center following his arrest.
