PEORIA, Ill. — Peoria’s medical community has a new provider.
Springfield Clinic announced this week a new affiliation with Peoria Surgical Group, Ltd. in downtown Peoria.
Dr. Steven Tsoraides said the collaboration will be a true benefit in the care of local patients.
“Springfield Clinic is very focused on keeping care in the community, and that’s consistent with current health care organizations in Peoria. So, growing with the Peoria Surgical Group’s physicians is just a natural fit,” Tsoraides said.
In the midst of COVID-19, Tsoraides said Springfield Clinic’s Peoria location will remain committed to safety.
“Peoria Surgical Group has very good protocols in place in terms of masks, social distancing, checking patients and tracking contacts, so I’m very confident that they will be able to do a great job of keeping patients and health care workers safe,” Tsoraides said.
PSG, which has been a part of Peoria’s medical community for over 60 years, will now be known as Springfield Clinic Peoria.
Springfield Clinic currently employs over 2,400 clinical and administrative staff members across Illinois.
