ST. LOUIS, Mo. — On Monday, the Missouri Valley Conference Presidents Council said they will delay the start of competition for some fall sports until Sept. 18.
Sports being delayed include: Men and Women’s Cross Country, Men and Women’s Golf, Women’s Tennis, Baseball and Softball.
Officials say the league will hold conference-only competition in Men’s Soccer, Women’s Soccer and Volleyball.
Bradley University is one of five Missouri Valley Conference institutions currently sponsoring men’s soccer and all 10 league institutions sponsor women’s volleyball.
Bradley does not sponsor a NCAA Division I women’s soccer team.
The MVC’s decision does not include football-playing schools that compete in leagues with separate governing bodies.
At this time, schedules for winter and spring sports are not impacted by the MVC’s decision.
