(UNDATED) — Family Dollar and Dollar Tree will no longer make you wear a mask.
While a growing number of national retailers are requiring shoppers and employees to wear face coverings, Family Dollar and Dollar Tree stores
have reversed course.
Both chains, which are part of parent company Dollar Tree, Inc., initially required its customers, vendors and employees to wear masks.
Last week, Dollar Tree, Inc. updated its mask policy to “request” face coverings in stores where state and local ordinances do not require them.
Walmart, Target, CVS, Walgreens and Kroger recently announced new mask mandates in their stores due to ongoing concerns over the spread of COVID-19.
