PEORIA COUNTY, Ill. — Around 9:30 p.m. Sunday, Peoria County Deputies responded to the 3100 block of W. Augustana regarding a home invasion that had just occurred.
Peoria County Sheriff Brian Asbell said 28-year-old Matthew Sloan and and 27-year-old Donald Allen had been in an argument earlier in the evening with the residents, then came back with baseball bats and kicked in the door of the home.
Asbell said single shot was fired, but no one was injured.
A short time later, Allen and Sloan were located in a traffic stop near the home and questioned by detectives.
Allen and Sloan were later charged with home invasion, criminal damage to property and aggravated assault.
The incident remains under investigation.
