PEORIA, Ill. – A suspect has been identified in a Saturday night shooting on Hightower in Peoria.
Officers were called just after 9 to the 700 block of Hightower on reports a man was shot in the face inside an apartment complex.
The victim was taken to a local hospital, where he remained Sunday morning.
Public Information Officer Amy Dotson said the victim’s injuries were considered serious, but not life-threatening.
18-year-old DeVaughn J. Owens was ID’ed as the suspect.
He was on the loose as of Sunday morning and considered to be armed and dangerous.
