PEORIA, Ill. — Another local high school football player has tested positive for COVID-19.
Peoria Notre Dame Head Football Coach Pat Armstrong sent an email to parents Thursday night informing them that a player on the team tested positive for the coronavirus.
15 players were kept out of practice Tuesday after having close contact with someone who had recently tested positive for the virus.
All Notre Dame’s football practices are canceled for the next two weeks.
Armstrong said the team is following guidance from the Peoria City/County Health Department moving forward.
In Armstrong’s email to parents, he said all protocols are being followed as players are asked pre-qualifying questions before each practice and their temperature is checked when they arrive.
