PEORIA, Ill. — Intensive care unit bed usage for coronavirus went up Wednesday throughout the Peoria area, as did non-ICU bed occupancy.
The rolling 28-day hospital admission rate went up two points, to just -1%. If the region crosses the zero threshold and into positive territory, it could move back to phase three of Restore Illinois.
The Peoria City/County Health Department scheduled a 3:30 Thursday afternoon news conference, where it was expected to address this situation.
PCCHD said six people were in ICU beds. Four of those cases were confirmed COVID-19 cases, while two were suspected cases.
24 cases were in non-ICU hospital beds.
As a whole, the area had a 35-case increase.
Peoria County had 202 residents in home isolation, while 12 were hospitalized. 493 people have recovered.
Tazewell County reported 36 cases recovering at home and one in a hospital. 146 Tazewell County residents have recovered.
Woodford reported three new cases since Tuesday. Its county health department does not break down its case count into recovered cases, hospitalized cases, and cases in home isolation.
