PEORIA, Ill. — A combined 75 Peoria, Tazewell, and Woodford County residents tested positive for COVID-19 over the weekend.
The majority of new cases was in Peoria County, which saw an increase of 57, for a total of 682 since the start of the pandemic.
460 of those cases were considered to be recovered, while 181 were in home isolation and 12 were hospitalized.
Ten more residents of Tazewell County were confirmed to have the virus, for a total of 174 since the start of testing. 137 were recovered, while 28 were in home isolation and one person was in an area hospital.
Woodford County accounted for the other eight. Woodford has seen 54 cases over four months of testing.
Three people were in intensive care, two of whom were confirmed to have the coronavirus, and the other of whom had a suspected case.
22 people were in non-ICU hospital beds.
Hospital admissions for the North-Central Region has become a metric to watch, as the rolling 28-day admissions rate is down to just -3%. If that number were to enter into positive territory, the region could be moved from phase four back to phase three of the Restore Illinois plan.
The area’s recovery rate took a sizable dip, down four percentage points from Friday to 69.3%. 24.7% of people were in home isolation and 1.8% were hospitalized.
No new COVID deaths were recorded.
