PEORIA, Ill. — 28 cases of COVID-19 reported Friday brought the tri-county’s overall total since the start of the pandemic to 835.
Peoria County reported the biggest gain, with 19, for a total of 625. 455 of those cases have made full recoveries, while 134 were recovering at home and seven were hospitalized.
Tazewell saw an increase of six. Its total went up to 164; 125 of whom have recovered, 30 of whom were in home isolation, and one of whom was in a hospital.
Woodford’s overall total went up three, to 46.
No coronavirus-related deaths occurred in that period.
More confirmed cases were in area intensive care unit beds Friday than on Thursday, however.
Three confirmed cases were in ICU beds as of Thursday, with two suspected cases. That number changed Friday to five confirmed cases.
13 cases were hospitalized but not considered severe enough to be in ICUs.
Recovery rate decreased slightly yet again, down to 73.4%.
20.8% of cases were isolated at home, while 1.1% were hospitalized.
