EUREKA, Ill. — A 9-year-old boy charged with first-degree murder in a 2019 mobile home fire in Goodfield has been found unfit to stand trial.
A Woodford County Court judge made the ruling Thursday after a fitness evaluation for the boy was completed.
The 9-year-old was previously charged with five counts of first-degree murder for the deaths of five family members, two counts of arson and one count of aggravated arson.
The boy is scheduled to make a court appearance on August 6 for a status hearing in the case.
