PEORIA, Ill. — A local increase of 15 COVID-19 cases reported Wednesday brought the area’s total to 772.
Peoria County saw the biggest jump, 10, to bring its total to 579. 100 of those cases were in home isolation and eight were hospitalized.
442 were considered to be recovered, while the death total remained at 29.
Five Tazewell County residents tested positive during the Tuesday-to-Wednesday 24-hour reporting period, bringing Tazewell’s total to 155. All five of those new cases were in home isolation, bringing the county’s number of COVID patients in home isolation to 32.
Its number of recovered cases remained at 112 and its hospitalization number stayed at three. Tazewell’s death total was still eight.
Woodford County stayed at 38 cases and two deaths.
The area’s recovery rate dropped slightly, to 75.8%.
There were still three confirmed cases in intensive care unit beds. Eight non-ICU beds were being occupied.
