SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — Illinois Department of Public Health reported 614 new cases of coronavirus from Sunday to Monday, bringing the state’s total to 147,865.
The death toll during that 24-hour period was six, bringing the state’s death count to 7,026.
Since the dawn of the pandemic, Illinois labs have taken in 1,782,840 specimens.
The state’s rolling seven-day positivity rate sat at 2.6%.
Illinois hadn’t seen a death toll as low as six since March 25, when there were three reported deaths.
