PEORIA, Ill. — Peoria firefighters were called around 12:15 p.m. Sunday to a vacant home in the 3400 block of W. Mary Knoll Court on reports of a fire.
Upon arrival, crews saw fire coming from the front and sides of the home.
Fire Battalion Chief Michael Hughes said family members of the owner were working on the house prior to it catching fire Sunday.
Crews had the fire under control in ten minutes.
The cause of the fire was deemed accidental.
The vacant home was set to be demolished Sunday afternoon.
