PEORIA, Ill. — Two deaths related to COVID-19 occurred over the weekend in the tri-county.
The Peoria City/County Health Department said a Reflections of Washington resident in her 90s and a University Rehab Center resident in her 70s brought the area’s coronavirus death total to 38.
There was a total of 645 cases as of Monday in the tri-county since the pandemic began.
Peoria County’s total was 487 cases with 28 deaths, Tazewell’s was 124 with eight; Woodford, 34 and two.
The area’s recovery rate since the start of testing fell out of the 80s, with 79.1% having recovered. Home isolation stood at 13.8%, while 1.2% were hospitalized.
Two patients with confirmed cases were in area intensive care units.
