PEORIA, Ill. — Storms moving into the Peoria area Friday evening could be strong to severe, according the news partner 25 News Chief Meteorologist Chuck Collins.
“A cold front interacting with hot and humid air, will promote thunderstorms this evening after 8:00. Some of the storms could be severe with quarter sized hail and locally heavy rain,” Collins said.
The tornado risk is low, according to Collins. The front will become stationery and storm chances will continue over the weekend.
