EAST PEORIA, Ill. — Boyd Gaming has announced that East Peoria’s Par-A-Dice Casino will resume operations on Wednesday, July 1 with reduced hours and at 50% capacity.
Guests of the casino will be required to wear masks and observe social distancing. Par-A-Dice employees will also be required to wear masks and screen incoming guests for COVID-19 symptoms as they enter the casino.
Buffets, poker rooms, table tournaments and valet parking will not be available.
Par-A-Dice will reopen at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 1. After that, hours of operations will be 9 a.m. to 1 a.m. Sunday through Thursday, and 9 a.m. to 3 a.m. Fridays and Saturdays.
In May, Boyd Gaming announced that a significant part of the Par-A-Dice workforce could be laid off by mid-July. The company would not comment on how reopening the casino would affect those plans.
