PEORIA, Ill. — After a recent surge in positive coronavirus cases dropped the tri-county’s recovery rate into the 60s, that number is back into the 80s.
The Peoria City/County Health Department on Friday announced 80.2% of cases since the pandemic began have now recovered.
11.8% were in home isolation, while 2% were in area hospitals.
Peoria County’s case total moved up to 463, Tazewell checked in with 120, while Woodford reported 34.
There were no new deaths to report, leaving the area’s toll at 36.
Two area cases were in intensive care unit beds, while one suspected case was in an ICU bed.
