PEORIA, Ill. — The Greater Peoria Mass Transit District has announced that CityLink will fully resume regularly scheduled fixed route bus service and hours of operation on Monday, June 29.
“Since Gov. Pritzker is moving Illinois into Phase Four of Restore Illinois, we know that there’s going to be an increased need for service as more people are going to be able to go back to work,” said CityLink’s Emily Watson.
The return to regular routes and services includes all buses on weekdays, Saturdays and Sundays.
Watson said the routes will be what their riders are used to.
“The biggest difference right now is that they are still going to be required to wear face masks when they’re riding, and also when they’re at the Transit Center. We’re really recommending that they also wear one when they’re waiting at the bus stop as well,” Watson said.
Watson said fare collection remains suspended on all Greater Peoria Mass Transit services until further notice.
