PEORIA, Ill. — A female Peoria County resident in her 80s has died from COVID-19, the 27th coronavirus-related death in the county.
Regionally, the death toll stood Thursday at 36. There have been two deaths in Woodford County and seven in Tazewell.
The tri-county’s case count was up to 609, with 456 in Peoria, 119 in Tazewell, and 34 in Woodford.
77.5% of cases since the pandemic began have recovered.
14.8% were in home isolation, while 1.6% were hospitalized.
Two intensive care unit beds were being occupied for COVID purposes, with one in use for a confirmed case, and the other for a potential case.
