PEORIA, Ill. — A Tazewell County woman in her 80s is the area’s most recent COVID-19 victim to succumb to the illness.
Her death, reported Wednesday, brings Tazewell’s death count to 7 and gives the tri-county an even 30.
The woman was a resident of Reflections Memory Care in Washington.
Peoria reported 406 cases, up from 399, Tazewell had 98, up from 95, and Woodford checked in with two new cases, to give it 31.
The local recovery rate was slowly inching upwards, at 71.8%, up from 69.6%.
19.6% of cases were in home isolation, while 3% were hospitalized.
A mere three beds were in use for COVID-19 purposes. Two beds were in use for confirmed cases, while the other contained a suspected case.
The North-Central Region of Illinois remained on track to advance June 26 to phase four of Restore Illinois.
