PEORIA, Ill. – The ongoing COVID-19 situation has forced Peoria Park District to cancel some yearly gatherings.
The Park District announced Thursday it has nixed many cultural festivals. These include: CEFCU Thursday Night Jazz Series, Jazz and Art Festival, Central Illinois BBQ Throwdown, Fiesta En El Rio, River City Soul Fest, India Fest, Peoria Irish Fest (Erin Feis), Oktoberfest and the Fine Arts Fair.
While these festivals and events have been canceled, this announcement did not affect Red, White, and Boom.
Organizers were still waiting to make a determination on whether or not a scaled down version of the event can take place later in 2020.
