PEORIA, Ill. — The Peoria-Tazewell-Woodford tri-county region saw 14 new COVID-19 cases from Tuesday to Wednesday, all of which dealt with residents of Peoria County.
That brought Peoria County’s total confirmed cases to 341 since testing began.
Tazewell remained at 82. Woodford stayed at 23.
Peoria County’s total death toll from COVID-19 rose to 19.
18 of those 19 deaths were at long-term care facilities. Seven have taken place at University Rehab, while Generations at Peoria has accounted for five, Bickford, three, Grandview Alzheimer’s, two, and Sharon Willows, one.
Six area ICU beds were occupied by confirmed COVID cases.
The area’s recovery rate dropped slightly, from 66% to 65.9%. 23.1% of cases were in home isolation, while 4.9% were hospitalized.
