PEORIA, Ill. — As tropical storm Christobal continues moving through the south, remnants of the storm could cause some severe weather on Tuesday in central Illinois.
News partner 25 New Chief Meteorologist Chuck Collins said non-thunderstorm wind gusts of 45 miles per hour are expected all day.
“But, we could also see isolated tornadoes, 60 mile per hour wind gusts and locally heavy rain between lunch time and dinner time,” Collins said.
A cold front approaching central Illinois will keep strong winds in the forecast through Wednesday, according to Collins.
