CHICAGO, Ill. — Illinois reported less than 1,000 confirmed COVID-19 cases in 24 hours Wednesday, with 982.
There was also a decrease in deaths reported, with 94 lives lost in relation to the virus.
The Illinois Department of Public Health reported a total of 123,830 confirmed cases in the state, with a total of 5,621 deaths.
COVID-19 has been reported in 101 of Illinois’ 102 counties.
Within the past 24 hours, labs across the state reported 24,471 specimens for a total of 959,175 collected.
The preliminary seven-day statewide positivity for cases is 6%.
