PEORIA, Ill. — As local businesses reopen in phase three of the Restore Illinois Plan, CityLink is extending its fixed route bus service effective June 1.
CityLink Spokesperson Emily Watson said Monday through Saturday, the last line up at the Transit Center (located at 407 SW Adams Street) will depart at 10 p.m. on all the late night routes that would normally have service after 10 p.m.
“We are hoping that with providing service later, that this will be helping some of the workers that work in an industry where they are required to work later shifts,” Watson said.
Sunday bus service will remain the same. The CityLink Transit Center lobby also remains closed to the public until further notice.
CityLink plans to resume full bus service once the local economy is fully re-opened and there is a demand for service beyond 10 p.m.
Passengers are still required to wear masks or alternative face coverings to use CityLink, CityLift or CountyLink transit services until further notice.
