PEORIA, Ill. — Two men were taken into custody Tuesday in relation a shooting on Monday that left one man in serious condition with a gunshot wound to the chest.
Members of the Target Offender Unit conducted a traffic stop Tuesday in the 2500 block of Knoxville and 24-year-old Karon Brock was taken into custody. A gun was recovered inside his vehicle.
22-year-old Chirs Brock was taken into custody without incident later Tuesday during a traffic stop at Western and Sherman.
The two individuals were taken to the Peoria Police Department Criminal Investigations Division for interview purposes and then arrested.
Chris Brock is charged with armed robbery and unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon.
Karon Brock is charged with armed robbery, aggravated battery, aggravated unlawful possession of a weapon.
Both were transported to the Peoria County Jail.
The shooting victim, a 26-year-old male, was located in the 2100 block of Linn St. Monday after 4:00 p.m. and was transported to a local hospital. The victim is now in stable condition.
