NORTH PEKIN, Ill. — The Tazewell County Health Department Dental Center has been permanently closed.
In a statement released Tuesday, the health department said the closure is effective immediately.
TCHD Spokesperson Sara Sparkman said the decision was made due to financial and budgetary issues that arose during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Sparkman said former patients can request dental records be sent to new dental providers by call the Tazewell County Health Department at (309) 929-5258 or by faxing a request from the new provider to (309) 925-2038.
Local dental options for patients include:
Secure Dental at (309) 606-5008
Optim Dental at (309) 777-9777
