SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — The Illinois Department of Public Health reported 2,088 new cases of coronavirus from Friday to Saturday.
There were 74 new deaths, one of which occurred at the Illinois Manteno Veterans’ Home, marking the third death at IMVH.
The Saturday cases raised the total to 92,457. There have been 4,129 deaths spanning 100 counties.
The seven-day positivity rate was at 15%.
Positivity rate is one of the key determinants in whether a region can progress to the next phase of the Restore Illinois plan.
Gov. J.B. Pritzker offered positive news Friday on that front.
“Right now, on a rolling basis, every region is meeting our positivity rate standard to move to phase three,” he said.
He said the cumulative statewide positivity rate dating back to February, when testing began, was 16.8%.
