PEORIA, Ill. — In honor of central Illinois’ health-care workers efforts in the fight against COVID-19, the Bradley University Athletic Department has announced an initiative to show them appreciation during the upcoming 2020-21 men’s basketball season.
“If somebody wants to buy a ticket, or as many tickets as they like for $5, we’re going to match that ticket, and allow that ticket to go to a local health-care worker,” said Bradley Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics Dr. Chris Reynolds.
Reynolds told WMBD’s Greg and Dan, once the men’s basketball schedule is announced, local health-care workers will be able to request up to four tickets for a selected game at no charge while supplies last.
“It’s really just about having some skin in this game, and providing a day at Carver Arena where we can recognize and do something for those that do so much for us,” Reynolds said.
Tickets can be purchased HERE and will be good for a to be determined men’s basketball game during the 2020-21 season.
