PEORIA, Ill. — There are 204 total confirmed cases for the Peoria-Tazewell-Woodford region.
Health Administrator Monica Hendrickson said there are 133 positive cases in Peoria County, 56 in Tazewell, and 15 in Woodford.
“There are no new deaths to report,” Hendrickson said.
Heartland Health Services COVID-19 testing locations will not operate on Memorial Day. Friday begins less restrictions at the testing locations; adults who are 18 are older can get tested even without symptoms.
CEO of Heartland Health Services Sharon Adams said the Carver testing site in Peoria is reducing its schedule beginning next week.
“Unfortunately our volumes at Carver have not been very high, and because it utilizes staff and personal protective equipment,” Adams said. “So, we are only going to be at Carver on Tuesday’s starting next week from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.”
However, a new testing site will be added in Pekin.
“We’re going to start next week on Wednesday at Tazwood in Pekin,” Adams said.
That location is at 3248 Van De Ver Ave. will perform testing on Monday’s and Wednesday’s from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
