PEORIA, Ill. — The Peoria City/County Health Department announced Saturday six new cases of COVID-19 in the Tri-County area.
Three of the six new cases reside in Peoria County, and the other three new cases reside in Tazewell County.
The increase takes the Peoria County total to 60 and the Tazewell County total to 36. Woodford County remained at 11.
The Tri-County total is now at 107. The death total in the area due to COVID-19 stayed at six as no new deaths were reported.
Currently, there are nine confirmed cases of COVID-19 being cared for in Peoria hospital ICUs and seven under investigation. There are an additional 35 persons under investigation or confirmed to have COVID-19 in non-ICU beds in Peoria hospitals.
Of the 60 cases in Peoria County, 32 are considered recovered, 14 are in home isolation, 12 are hospitalized, and two have died.
