CHICAGO, Ill. — During Friday’s daily COVID-19 briefing, Gov. J.B. Pritzker is expected to announce plans to keep schools closed through the remainder of the school year.
A statewide school closure was announced by the governor on March 13, and classes have been moved online.
Reports say that Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot expected the announcement.
