PEORIA, Ill. — Peoria Police were called just after 3 a.m. Wednesday to the 300 block of Virginia Avenue.
Police dispatch said a man was shot in the leg during an attempted home invasion.
The victim was taken to a local hospital. His condition was not available.
Police did not release any suspect information.
