PEORIA, Ill. — Strong to severe storms could roll into the Peoria area over the weekend.
News partner 25 News Chief Meteorologist Chuck Collins said the area will likely see occasional isolated thunderstorms Friday through Saturday morning.
“There’s a small risk these storms could be severe with damaging winds and large hail,” Collins said.
Collins said the bigger threat of severe weather looks to be between 4-7 p.m. Saturday when a line of storms moves through the area.
“Those storms will have a possibility of brief tornado touch downs, damaging winds over 60 miles per hour and large hail,” Collins said.
