PEORIA, Ill. — The Peoria Civic Center saw one of the facility’s best months in February.
General Manager Rik Edgar said there was an increase in revenue.
“We were $300,000 ahead of our budget,” Edgar said. “So, that put us in a little bit better position for the year.”
Since the COVID-19 outbreak began to affect the entertainment industry, the Civic Center did take a hit.
“To date we’ve lost more than $1.3 million of revenue for this fiscal year,” Edgar said.
Even with the loss in revenue, there is a silver lining.
“The good news is ticketed events have all rescheduled or are in the process of rescheduling for future dates,” Edgar said.
At this time, Edgar said the Civic Center will not host any ticketed for the next 60 to 90 days.
