WASHINGTON D.C. — President Donald Trump hopes that the United States can begin to ease restrictions and open businesses by Easter.
“I hope we can do this by Easter,” said Trump. “I think that would be a great thing for our country, and we’re all working very hard to make that a reality.”
Trump also added that he is hopeful that Americans are back to work by Easter Sunday. He also added that every decision is being made with the health, safety and well-being of citizens in mind.
Trump said American people have learned a lot during this pandemic.
“We should never be reliant on a foreign country for the means of our own survival,” said Trump. “This crisis has underscored just how critical it is to have strong borders and a robust manufacturing sector.”
With the manufacturing sector, Trump said that the goal for the future is to have American products for patients, hospitals and health-care workers.
