PEORIA, Ill. — The Tazewell County Health Department has reported five Tri-County food pantries have shut down to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Three of the pantries are in Pekin. The others are in Peoria and Bartonville.
Other food pantries have changed their procedures for citizens in need of food, including having one person at a time in the pantry, outside pick-up service and other social distancing options.
The following food pantries are closed until further notice:

St. Vincent DePaul-Pekin is temporarily closed, but will open to the public again on Monday, March 23. The pantry will deliver food to client’s vehicles at 620 St. Joseph Place, Pekin (309) 657-4459.
