PEORIA, Ill. — The Greater Peoria Economic Development Council has created a website to help area business owners maneuver the COVID-19 crisis.
The Council’s CEO Chris Setti told WMBD’s Greg and Dan, their site coordinates information relevant to local business.
“It’s information about what sort of resources are out there. We hope to answer questions. There are a lot of questions about Human Resources, unemployment insurance and guidelines. But, then also what kind of assistance might be available,” Setti said.
Setti said the EDC is working closely with the Emergency Operation Centers in Peoria and Tazewell Counties to be a catch-all of questions.
“We’ve been trying to compile all of this information every day. We update it every night around 5 p.m. with what we’ve learned,” Setti said.
The website is gpcovid.com. Find a link HERE.
Setti said the Small Business Administration is giving low-interest loans of up to $2 million to businesses in need. Details on how local businesses can apply for assistance is on the gpcovid.com site.
