PEORIA, Ill. — CityLink is reducing its fixed route bus service effective Thursday, March 19. The Transit Center lobby, located at 401 SW Adams, has also been closed until further notice.
CityLink’s Emily Watson said lineups will remain the same as they depart the downtown Transit Center, but the last lineup daily will leave at 8:45 p.m. until further notice.
“The change does effect our weekday service and Saturday service on several of our routes,” Watson said.
Watson said CityLink will continue to monitor the coronavirus outbreak while it provides core bus service to its passengers.
Earlier this week, CityLink made the decision to suspend fare collection in response to the virus pandemic.
The anticipated date on which passengers will be required to pay a fare is April, 1.
“We’re telling people to continue to check our Facebook and Twitter pages and our website for any updates. But, at this point, nothing has changed,” Watson said.
