PEORIA, Ill. — Five people were arrested Wednesday after a fight between two individuals outside Richwoods High School which led to a gun falling on the ground.
In an email to parents, Richwoods Principal Brett Elliott said the gun was not used and “was quickly picked up before those involved in the fight fled.”
Peoria Police searched for the gun off campus Wednesday afternoon.
Elliott said there would be added security Thursday at the school, as a precautionary measure.
“There is not believed to be any credible threat against the school at this time,” Elliott said in the email.
