PEORIA, Ill. — (25 News) Peoria Police were called just after 7:30 p.m. Thursday to a business in the 600 block of W. Main Street for an altercation.
A police spokesperson said the business owner had tried to intervene in the fight, when he was hit in the head. That’s when police said the man pulled a knife to defend himself, and stabbed the other man.
Sometime before 10:30 p.m., dispatch said police found the man who had been stabbed at Church’s Chicken on Western Avenue. They said he was taken to the hospital.
The business owner was also taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
