Tazewell County Board Chairman David Zimmerman has announced plans to seek re-election in 2020.
The 58-year-old Zimmerman was first elected chairman in 2008, after serving twelve years as a Tazewell County board member.
Zimmerman in a statement says, “Serving the citizens of Tazewell County is a privilege I never want to take for granted.” He adds,”I want to do everything with integrity, transparency and honesty.”
Petitions for the March 2020 primary election are being circulated now.
