Charges against a 14-year-old murder suspect from Peoria were dropped in court Friday.
Prosecutors against the suspect, Zaveon Marks, requested the case be refereed in juvenile court.
Marks faced two counts of first degree murder and also one count of unlawful possession of a firearm after the fatal shooting on June 12 of 16-year-old Zarious Fair.
The defense previously requested a re-arraignment due to wrong penalties being read in Marks’ charges, but it was denied.
